They called him Connor HUGE.
Connor Hughes f**ked his way through every girl in my high school.
Except me.
We hated each other.
That arrogant a**hole insulted me, tormented me, and ruined me without ever laying a finger on me.
After graduating near the top of my class, I escaped to UCLA, got my degree, and threw myself into a career as a serious journalist. But I never forgot the damage Connor did.
At least I’ll never have to see him again.
Until my editor at Trending Magazine tasks me with writing a tell-all article about Connor. Turns out my insufferable bad boy nemesis grew into the ultra-gorgeous model whose perfect body steams up the covers of half the romance novels on the bestseller lists.
Now I’m stuck shadowing him all weekend long at the world’s largest Romance Convention. I’m forced to watch in disgust as 45,000 women throw themselves at him and worship his shirtless body while he taunts me incessantly.
We hate each other as much today as we did seven years ago. But I can’t stop stealing glances at his perfect abs and perfect a**.
My better judgment tells me to drop everything and run, but something deep inside me is dying to know if he’s as HUGE as the rumors…
***Cover Model is a steamy standalone with an HEA***

I am surprised anew every Devon Hartford book I read that he is able to write female characters as well as he is. My favorites are still Samantha Smith and Victory Payne, but Electra was fun. I breathed a sigh of relief when she literally let her hair down. My head hurt from sympathetic bun caused tension headache. Man, no wonder they called her high tension! This book was fun, like I said before, a little light reading without too much substance, (I thought), until we finally got to what happened on grad night. That turned the story around for me into something much better. Here was the depth of character I have come to expect from a Devon Hartford novel. It took a little longer to get there than I wanted, but we got there all the same. Hmm, that might be analogous. I actually put off reading "Cover Model" for a while because I really didn't care for "Step Brother Obsessed". Could not relate to the characters in that one. It was kind of funny to me that the one Devon Hartford story I didn't like was referenced so many times in this one. That being said, it was definitely worth reading. I should have done it sooner. I loved all the references to characters and things from other DH stories. It was awesome to see Romeo again. I actually really wished that there had been a little more to his character in this book. He had enough page time, I would have liked a mention of what he and the other well loved characters of the Samantha Smith Series were really doing with life after graduation. Did they stay close? Also caught Finche's mention of her bestie and her hottie drama king, Drakken. And I thought of Victory, of course, when Electra and Connor danced at The Cobra Lounge. Still waiting to hear the rest of Victory Payne's story, by the way, if you read your reviews Mr. Hartford!Product details

Cover Model edition by Devon Hartford Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I have to say that this is my first Devon book. I now have bought or put the rest of his books on my wish list. I LOVE reading romance books written by men. It gives a new view on the whole romance genre. That being said here is my review.
Electra was the girl everyone picked on in high school. Her worst enemy is Connor. Four years of high school and he made her life a living hell. After graduation Electra leaves all the high school bs behind and goes onto UCLA to get her degree in journalism. Now writing as a freelance journalist she is forced into doing a story about a cover model that has never shown his face. Imagine her surprise when she goes to his hotel room and Connor opens the door....naked. This is where I stop. I don't do spoilers in my review, but this is enough to get you wanting to read the book. At first when I started reading this book I thought "Oh, just another typical romance book." I was so wrong. This book goes so much deeper than just a romance book. There is more to Connor's story than meets the eye. This book is well worth the time to read.
Story line Good. Writing and Flow Excellent. Sex Scenes HOT, HOT, HOT! Recommend To A Friend TOTALLY!!
Do you want a hot, steamy, faced paced, fun romance? This is the book for you! True to form, Devon delivers a set of unique characters tied up in a whirlwind of antics. Connor is a hunky cover model who has graced the cover of hundreds of book covers. Electra is the “nobody” from Connor’s high school who grew up to be a hottie reporter. When Electra discovers Connor is the guy she is supposed to interview for her latest article, old feelings are dredged up as well as new ones.
I love the way Devon goes back and forth between Connor and Electra telling parts of the story. His writing style gives the story a rounded perspective on the situation. You aren’t left feeling like you are missing out of part of the story, which often times happens. I knew there was something deeper going on with Connor, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Subtle hints were dropped throughout the story without completely giving it away. Another kudos to the author for being able to keep the reader’s attention the whole way through.
Devon also throws in interesting plot twists at the right time. One thing I love about Devon’s writing is that he can write a fun light hearted romance and make it serious at the same time. He is always able to address tough situations in his books (like abuse, death, etc.) and interweave them into his stories. This makes his books very relatable to me. He brings real life situations into seemingly light hearted romances, and makes the reader sit back and think. This is proof that Devon is a fantastic novelist.
I absolutely loved the ending! I think that readers will get their HEA with this one. As usual, Devon gets 5 stars from me!
This was better then I had hoped for. At first I was narrow minded enough to question if a man could write a book in this genre. But the fact that I had that initial thought pissed me off about myself. I hate narrow minded people. And here I was ..... So I gave it a try. Glad I did. It was better then I had hoped for. The story that unfolded, that the H really was a damaged human being (and how he got that way), was better then I would have expected. And how the author told the story was great! I honestly didn't see it coming. The way it unfolded was..... wow! I had to put it down cuz I was around other people and didn't want to be caught crying like a baby! My
ONLY negative is the ending. Even though there was an epilogue, and it was more then a few pages, I felt that the HEA was really only one sentence. For that I dropped it down a star. I'm going to guess most woman are like me and that they want more to a HEA then one sentence. If he gave us a bit more I definitely would have given this a 4.5. to a 5 star. So if you really love a full, fulfilling HEA, just be aware. I'd still wholeheartedly encourage everyone to still read the book. It's well worth it! Just be aware.
And one last tiny bit I hate books loaded with angst. Hate them! But this one didn't have much. If any if I can recall. Just had to add this tiny bit in.
